Supported Chords

ChordMate supports many chord types. You can browse the exact list using Chord Symbol Lookup. In addition to these chord types, ChordMate supports chord alterations and slash chords: you can raise or lower any note in the chord by altering its degree and you can specify a different bass note, which gives you an ability to construct almost any chord. For example, you can construct chords like Dm/C or A7♭5

Please note that if you want to use a specific chord type that is supported by ChordMate directly, it's better to use the supported chord type instead of constructing it via alterations. For example, you could specify a chord as A7♭3, but it would be much better to use Am7 instead. Also, if you want to use a bass note that is part of the chord, then it's better to use the rule editor to specify the right inversion instead of specifying it as a slash chord.
